Lydia Truran Obituary

Lydia E. Truran
Scotia - Our mom and grandma, Lydia, passed away at Ellis Hospital on Thursday, September 28.
Her parents were Pastor Frank Cherubini and Elvira Cherubini, and she was born in Garfield, New Jersey. Lydia married William Henry Truran November 29, 1947. She has 2 adult children, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Lydia was a great mother and grandma; she was always there for her kids and her grandkids.
She also spent her young years helping her Father with his church. She ran a nursery school at the church, and ran an amazing Vacation Bible School, called Trinity Under the Pines. In later years, she had many friends who came to her house and made ceramics in her ceramics studio
As my parents grew older they grew closer to Jesus. Their lives were totally committed to Him.
Around 1997 my Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. My mother never thought to put him in a nursing home, but cared for him at home until he passed. Great love story!
In more recent years, she had some younger friends who would visit every week, and she would talk to them about Jesus, and read scripture with them. She was always a great hostess, and enjoyed having company.
We love, and miss her!
