Laura J. D'Ammasso

SCHENECTADY – Laura D’Ammasso passed away at Ellis Hospital on February 9, 2025 with her loving son by her side.  Laura was the daughter of the late Josephine and Fred Alteri.  After attending Schenectady schools, Laura worked for over 30 years at Ellis Hospital.  She took great joy in spending time with family and friends, enjoyed holiday gatherings, dining out, and trying her luck at the casinos.

Laura was known for her kind spirit.  She was especially grateful for her devoted son Michael who took exceptional care of her.

Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael D’Ammasso, and daughter Linda Delorenzo, and stepfather Ernest Marotta.  She is survived by her son Michael D’Ammasso, sister Arlene Pennell, grandchildren Crystal and Michelle Delorenzo, and great-grandchildren Carmine, Giovanni, Linda Rose, Alex, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am with a service at 11 am.  A burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville will follow.
